Preparation
You’ll be asked to remove any jewelry, piercings, or metal items. For your safety, you’ll be provided with scrubs to wear during your scan. This step helps reduce the risk of interference from metals or metallic fibers that may be present in everyday clothing, including silver or copper threads often used in modern performance or moisture-wicking fabrics.
Procedure
You’ll lie on your stomach while your chest is positioned in a coil (camera) in the scanner. Cushions and supports are used to keep you comfortable and reduce movement.
